Sabbath is for kids too

As we fill our requirements for the daily word, let us not forget the children.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 declares "And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

If you are a parent or guardian, you should make it your responsibility to ensure your children are daily reading the word of God. In this time that many schools are out, we seek ways to encourage children to continue their education. However, true education is much more than secular book work. Ellen White, in the book education, states:

"True education means more than pursuing a certain course of study. It has to do with the whole person, and with the whole period of existence possible to human beings. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers."

It is the holistic approach to education that will create productive and godly members of society.

Outside of the text content for the quarterly, there are several multimedia resources available for children to encourage learning.
