Do Seventh-Day Adventist have funerals on Sabbath?
The Sabbath is the day which God set aside for communion with him. During this day, Seventh Day Adventists go to church and have various youth meetings, all of which are geared at helping members solely focus on God and getting closer to him. In light of this fact, funerals and other such services are not held on the Sabbath by Adventist. This is not because it is wrong but most likely because the church is occupied during the sabbath with other church services. Additionally, it is presumed that pastors and officiating ministers would be occupied during the sabbath with their church services.
